Karate Ni Sentenshi: A basic and very essential part of Karate training. It means that the Karateka must never attack first, mentally or physically. To understand this fully, years of hard correct training is needed. As the Karateka grows in stature, so also will grow his/her good manners and etiquette, outwardly and even more importantly, inwardly. All Karate training must be intensive and with purpose. Correct Dojo etiquette is essential.

Junior Student - Under 16

All junior students are required to pass a Junior Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple and Brown belt grade before they are eligible to sit a senior grade.

When they have achieved Junior Brown belt status, they continue to wear their junior brown belt and are then awarded a coloured tab for every senior Kyu grade that they are successful in passing.

This tab is sewn onto their junior brown belt as shown below. When the student turns 16 years of age, they must wear a full senior coloured belt. An up-to-date licence is required to sit a junior grade.
